CASE-ing The Catty #109 – CASE Anything from all cattys!

CTC sunday Blog hop header

Welcome to the last CASE-ing The Catty Sunday night Blog Hop of 2016. It’s been such a wonderful year, big thanks to you for joining us each week. Stampin’ Up have given us SO MUCH amazing products and project ideas in the last 12 months. Annual Catalogue, Occasions & Holiday Catalogues, were all crazy cool with just so much inspiration to share. In celebration of the last 2016 blog hop, this week we are CASE-ing anything we like from any current SU catalogue. Where do I start!?

Ok, so I decided to do something a little outside the norm for our special blog this week.  I flipped through the two current Catty’s and chose some projects you may have missed.  No cards tonight, just a couple of home decor items you could make for yourself or someone else. Let me jump right in and show you, I’m super excited about these!

First project this week is a set of 3 shadow boxes I purchased these from my local Kmart store for $15.  The largest box is 6×6″ and I used this to recreate one of my favourite cards I made this year. The second shadow box is 5×5″, although no Stampin’ Up! products here, I have framed an off cut of my Wedding Dress satin & lace. Last year I actually donated my Wedding dress to Angel Gowns Australia, however it was January this year the volunteer seamstress’s got around to turning my dress into tiny gowns for precious  Bub’s taken too soon. I have photo’s of the little gowns, and now I have my shadow box. Lastly, box #3 is a 4×4″ which I’ve turned into a Sea theme. The idea for this project came from page 102 of the Annual Catalogue.

My second project is actually from the inside front cover of the Annual Catalogue – Shelli’s welcome message. Have you notice this project?

I love this idea! I’ve been in need of an Ideas Board for some time now so back to Kmart I went and found a matching frame for the Shadow Boxes.

Also picked up some cork then covered it with hessian I had at home. This project was so quick and easy, and too much fun. If only I had more frames I could have made a bunch of these as gifts. If you are wondering what’s significant about January 11 – come back and see me then as the Colour INKspiration design team and I kick off a brand new exciting blog hop! While you are taking notes, make sure you’re back for CASE-ing The Catty January 8th! The 2017 Occasions Catalogue is AMAZING!!! If you don’t have that catty, just send me a message and I’ll get one out to you.

That’s it for 2016! If you have started this week’s blog hop with me, jumped over to Rebecca’s blog by following this link:

Alternatively you could always hop backwards to see Julia’s sparkly project. Thanks for stopping by this week, and throughout the year. I wish you and your loved ones Merry Christmas, and a happy & healthy New Year! We’ll see you again January 8th 2017.

  1. Krissy I LOVE your projects! Thankyou for your beautiful inspiration and creative ideas this year. It’s been a thrill to be on the team with you. Thankyou for sharing the beautiful gifting ideas and especially the story about your wedding dress. My favourite is the box with the shell. I love the combination of this paper and the wetlands image.
