CASE-ing The Catty #133 – Love & Sympathy

Every Sunday at 7pm (AEST), CASE-ing The Catty Design Team launch a new challenge where we CASE a section of the current Stampin’ Up! catalogue. This week we are showcasing the Love & Sympathy section, pages 87 – 101, of the 2017-2108 Annual Catalogue.

Super excited about my Stamping’ Up order arriving this week! Well, mostly excited about one particular new stamp set, Little One. Couldn’t wait to use it. I know you know what that’s like! So, I flicked through the Love & Sympathy section, back & forth, back & forth until I found a layout, colour combo or an embelishment/feature I could CASE using the Teepee stamp. Eventually I chose this little beauty from page 97.

Let me show you what I have made …

As you can see, there were a couple of elements from the original card I took inspiration from, such as the watercolour wash, double line embellishment in the background and a stand-out feature in the front. CASE-ing the Catty is such a wonderful challenge because it’s really very limitless.

I was actually aiming to make a card for my friend’s new bub this week but I really struggled! The colours for bub’s card are one’s I very rarely use. Needless to say, that one is still a work in progress but I managed to whip this one up very quickly for the challenge. Went back to colours I love which made it SO much easier. I sure hope I’m not the only one who has those days!? I forgot to take a pic of the inside. It says Welcome Little One, there’s some more of the tiny x stamping, and a touch of washi. Simple but sweet.

Thanks for checking in with me this week. Next up we have Mel with her simply stunning Mermaid card, or jump backwards to visit Rachel’s blog.

If you don’t already own Little One, I highly recommend adding this to your wish list.

  1. I love your card! This stamp set has not been on my radar, but I am seriously reconsidering it after seeing your beautiful creation. Thanks for the inspiration!

  2. This is such a gorgeous card, Krissy. Love the background wash and the other elements you have used. Such a great, contemporary baby card.
