CASE-ing The Catty Blog Hop #62 - Favourite project from the Sale-A-Bration brochure
I didn't quite make this week's challenge cut-off however I thought I may as well post it anyway. My wonderful husband turned 40 this week (Happy Birthday my love!) so naturally we had to throw a party to celebrate this milestone. I've been so busy organising the party and entertaining guest's that I ran out of time for this challenge. P.S the party was fantastic however I'm a little worse for wear today. Totally worth it though. Our house guests aka Andrew's Sister and Mother + partner are busy watching a movie so that gives me a minute to share my CASE-ing The Catty submission for this week.
The challenge is favourite project from the Sale-A-Bration brochure. I have a couple of fav's although Sky's The Limit stamp set just comes in as front runner. The card I have made was CASEd from the Stampin' Up 2016 Sale-A-Bration brochure, pages 16 - 17.
As you can see, it's fairly simple in appearance but effective. The Aeroplane is actually stamped with Early Espresso, then re-stamped with VersaMark (use your stamp-a-ma-jig to line up the image) & coat with clear embossing powder. This gives the plane a little shine and makes it pop out amongst the clouds, which are made using the largest flower die from Flower Fair Framelits. Just run the Irresistibly Yours negative embossed white cardstock through the big shot using that die and cut the flower in half to create the clouds. Everything else is pretty straight-forward, the love heart cloud stamp is also in VersaMark but with white embossing powder for effect.
I hope you've enjoyed my card this week. Let's hope I have a quieter week ahead so I can make the next CTC challenge in time!
